The same 2009 study found that in lab rats, the scent of coffee reduced stress that was associated with loss of sleep. Benefits of Tea
One of the benefits of drinking tea is that it has less caffeine then some other beverages. For centuries, tea has been considered to have many benefits. According to studies, there is a link between tea consumption and reduced instances of some cancers, heart disease and diabetes. There has also been a connection made that implies that drinking tea can help to lower cholesterol and encourage weight loss. Tea drinking may help with mental alertness and may have antimicrobial qualities. Of the types of teas, green tea has the highest concentration of antioxidants but black, white and oolong teas are also beneficial. The more tea is processed, the fewer benefits it will have.
